Designed for processes / applications where operator, product and environmental protection is required, from the effects caused by an uncontrolled spread of airborne contaminants and, at the same time, to avoid any biological contamination between the environment and the product during processing.

Normally used in the pharmacies of hospitals, oncology departments, day-hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. For correct use and application of the booth described here, it is necessary to refer to the appropriate regulations and rules in force in the country in which the booth is used.

CYTOBOX is a Class 3 negative pressure isolator according to ISO / FDIS 14644-7 with a seal level measured in 16 Pa / minute, with a unidirectional flow in Class 3 according to ISO 14644-1 or EC GMP Grade A, isolating operator and environment from the process and its constituent parts.


A HEPA filter is inserted under the work surface, which is passed through by all the passage air, in order to keep the work area clean and free of contaminants.


External air is sucked in from the top of the pass-boxes through a HEPA / ULPA H14 filter and pushed into the work area of ??the pass-boxes themselves. Then the air passing through a second HEPA / ULPA H14 filter is sucked in by the main fan.


The pressurized air pushed into the plenum passes through the HEPA / ULPA LAF H14 filter and then downwards, in a laminar flow, into the working chamber to protect the products handled. From here, through the work surface, it is sucked into the main HEPA / ULPA filter H14 under the work surface; then the air passes through the channel located in the back of the working chamber.


Part of the air is expelled through the exhaust HEPA H14 filter; this process creates the negative pressure condition in the work area to protect the operator and the environment

External structure in epoxy powder coated cold-rolled steel for excellent corrosion resistance to the attack by aggressive common chemicals.

Rear wall in stainless steel AISI 304 L, designed to conform to requirements and pass the “cleanability test” according to EN12469:2000 and EU-cGMP.


Work surface in stainless steel AISI 316L consisting of one single section (divided in sections available upon request) which are easily removable for carrying out routine cleaning and/or autoclaving sterilization procedures; closed or perforated on request.


Stratified safety frontal window with gas springs.


Filtration: Low pressure drop H14 HEPA/ULPA filters with an efficiency better than 99,995 % MPPS (EN-1822).


Operation Condition: Air cleanliness in Class ISO 3 as per ISO:EN 14644-1 and Grade A EU-cGMP.
The user-friendly practical keyboard and the rear-lit LCD will continuously display all required data keeping the user constantly informed of the cabinet conditions in operation, and in particular:
• display of laminar airflow velocity and frontal air barrier velocity
• display of inside and outside temperature
• display of residual lifetime of HEPA/ULPA filters
• display of total number of hours of operation
• display of saturation level of HEPA/ULPA filters.

Audio-visual alarms provided for:
• out of range or incorrect laminar airflow velocity and frontal air barrier velocity
• incorrect position of front sash-window
• clogging of HEPA/ULPA filters
• end of life-cycle of UV lamp and saturation of activated carbon filter (if fitted)
• blockage in the exhaust duct ( if fitted )
